Join our team as a Senior Information Management Specialist to lead the implementation of an enterprise Information Management (EIM) platform for Supply Ontario. In this hybrid role (3 days onsite/2 remote), you’ll oversee the rollout of solutions like OpenText to enhance data governance, recordkeeping, access, and privacy. You’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders, ensure compliance with public sector regulations, and drive user adoption through training and communication. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience with EIM platforms, metadata and classification development, and managing large-scale information governance projects, preferably in the public sector. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Fee-for-Service (FFS) to lead the rollout and implementation of an enterprise Information Management platform that will enhance the organization’s information governance, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Project Overview:
Supply Ontario is advancing its digital infrastructure by deploying a robust Information Management platform to support secure, efficient data governance, classification, retention, and access across its organization. The Information Management Specialist will spearhead the implementation of this platform, ensuring alignment with regulatory mandates, internal policies, and enterprise architecture. This role will focus on configuring, deploying, and optimizing the Information Management solution, facilitating data governance frameworks, and driving user adoption. The specialist will also ensure compliance with industry standards and public sector regulations while managing stakeholder engagement and technical delivery.
Experience required:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing enterprise Information Management platforms (OpenText)
- Experience assessing and conducting business analyses to establish information management needs across domains such as recordkeeping, access, and privacy.
- Experience leading and coordinating information management projects and initiatives.
- Skilled in providing advice, guidance, and support for information management-related efforts.
- Knowledge and practical experience developing document management protocols, including business rules, naming conventions, version control, and document labelling.
- Experience developing business and records classification schemes using functional classification methodologies.
- Expertise in assessing metadata requirements and creating metadata schema, standards, and management protocols.
- Experience assessing training and awareness needs, developing curricula and communication plans, and delivering information management training to diverse audiences.
- Ability to provide routine advice on information management concepts, principles, and best practices.
- Understanding of Information Security and Privacy Classification requirements and applying them to unstructured data environments.
- Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with business analysts, architects, intelligence specialists, data managers, project managers, training specialists, and other stakeholders.
- Supporting business and information architecture functions in defining information management priorities.
- Active participation in information management committees, working groups, or similar forums.
- Experience developing and tracking information management performance metrics.
- Research and analysis capabilities relevant to environmental/jurisdictional scans, legislation, policy, business process mapping, and maturity assessments.
- Ability to plan and implement information management strategic goals and priorities.
- Familiarity with national and international standards in recordkeeping and information management.
