NC OSHR - HCM Business Analyst
Typical Experience: 84+ months

This role will manage the  Workday HCM Talent Management Suite by coordinating work efforts requested by other business owners, subject matter experts, functional analysts, developers, and security analysts, evaluate these requests and implement them as prioritized in the Workday solution.  There will be particular emphasis on building forms in the onboarding and offboarding functional areas of the software. The scope of work includes Recruitment, Applicant Tracking, Onboarding/Offboarding, Position Description Management, and Organizational Charts.   

 

Education and Experience Recommended

·       Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, computer science, or any related field from an appropriately accredited institution

·       Five years of experience in a lead, functional/technical, or similar role focused on Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) providing design, configuration, testing, and deployment; talent management experience required

·       Demonstrated experience bridging the gap between people management and Workday digital solutions

      Public Sector Experience a plus

·       Deep HCM Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of HR practices, compliance regulations, and industry best practices

·       Deep Organizational Knowledge (preferred, but not required): Comprehensive understanding of the state’s organization management and culture, specifically organization roles versus user roles and how organizations interact with user roles


·       SaaS Platform Expertise: Proficiency in Workday HCM  

·       Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience with solution design and configuration, data mapping, reporting tools, and integration technologies. Thorough knowledge and demonstrated ability to follow the System Development Life Cycle (SLDC)


·       Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to facilitate and lead meetings and discussions with end-users, business owners, and team members


·       Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot system issues and identify solutions

·       Facilitation and Collaboration: collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR business owners, IT developers, and project managers
