Description:

We are seeking a Cluster Resource Manager with expertise in Red Hat OpenShift to support the design, deployment, and lifecycle management of containerized workloads in a scalable CaaS platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal resource utilization, reliability, and performance of container clusters in line with enterprise-grade standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and manage scalable OpenShift clusters for production and non-production environments.
  • Oversee the allocation and optimization of cluster resources (CPU, memory, storage) across nodes.
  • Monitor and manage container scheduling, failover, and node health across the cluster.
  • Implement auto-scaling strategies for pods and nodes using OpenShift’s Horizontal Pod Autoscaler and Cluster Autoscaler.
  • Set up and maintain service discovery, networking, and load balancing within OpenShift.
  • Establish and enforce governance policies such as RBAC, security contexts, quotas, and limits.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure platform reliability and compliance.
  • Enable monitoring and alerting through tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenShift Monitoring.
  • Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and incident resolution across the OpenShift platform.
  • Support CI/CD pipeline integration with OpenShift using Jenkins, Tekton, or GitOps tools like ArgoCD.
  • Document cluster operations, procedures, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift (v4.x preferred) in enterprise-grade environments.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes, container orchestration, and resource management.
  • Solid understanding of Linux (RHEL/CentOS), networking, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Helm.
  • Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Git, Tekton, ArgoCD.
  • Proficient in monitoring and logging frameworks – Prometheus, Grafana, EFK/ELK stack.
  • Knowledge of security policies, PodSecurity, NetworkPolicy, RBAC, SCCs, and TLS/SSL setup in OpenShift.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) hosting OpenShift.
  • Ability to troubleshoot cluster issues related to pod health, node performance, scheduling, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (EX280) or equivalent.
  • Experience with OpenShift GitOps, Service Mesh (Istio), or Operator Framework.
  • Background in managing large-scale containerized workloads or mission-critical platforms.
