Instrumentation, Electrical, and Control Specialist

Qualifications:

-Completion of a certified DOL IE&C apprenticeship program OR ideally five-plus years of experience in troubleshooting, designing, repairing, and calibrating communication, instrumentation, and control systems and related equipment.

 

Responsibilities:

Power Plant Instrument Tech Apprenticeship:

-Update Power Plant Instrument Tech Apprenticeship Program

-Review program TPE’s to determine what is relevant to the I&C craft

-Eliminate TPE’s that are not needed.

-Update and/or add new TPE’s that the program is missing.

-Add specific tasks for every TPE to help apprentice and journeyman understand the required knowledge and skill to complete each one.

-Organize TPE’s for each block in a logical progression for the program.

-Review CBT’s to determine their relevance.

-Communicate with the Apprenticeship Committee about changes made to the program to verify acceptance of changes.

 

Craft PM's / Job Plans:

-SPAG Site focus       

-Write Job Plans for all PM’s related to the South Plant Aero-derivative Generation site.

-Research each PM job requirements

-Re-write current job plans created by General Physics to include: System Description, Asset, Equipment, Manufacturer, Model Number, Outage Class, Man-Hours Required, Safety, Resources, Specialty Tools, Part Item

 

Numbers, and Job Plan Procedure.

-Coordination and collaboration with I&C Supervisor and I&C Planner to capture new Job Plans in Maximo system.
