Project and Requirements

In alignment with Harris County’s established governance, this project involves migrating sites from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Online (SPO). This is not a simple lift-and-shift effort. Each client engagement will include:

  • Meeting with stakeholders to assess current needs and requirements.
  • Building out those requirements in SharePoint Online.
  • Migrating relevant data to SPO or Microsoft Teams.
  • Securing sign-off on all changes or deletions upon completion for each site.

Role and Responsibilities

The resource will:

  • Design, build, deliver, and support SharePoint solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into SPO solutions.
  • Support data migration efforts and validate post-migration results.
  • Ensure compliance with Harris County governance and security standards.
  • Communicate effectively with staff at all levels, providing clear updates and documentation.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Hands-on experience designing, building, delivering, and supporting SharePoint solutions (2013, 2016, or 2019).
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture and the SharePoint security model.
  • Experience with SharePoint Online, Office 365, Teams, and Azure platforms.
  • Proficiency with:
  • Windows Server 2012R2 or greater
  • SQL Server 2012 or greater
  • Active Directory
  • IIS v7 or greater
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum or XP).
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to learn or existing knowledge of ShareGate and InfoWise Ultimate Forms.

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Experience with PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Hands-on experience building PowerApps and Power Automate flows.
