Job Description & Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Technician will support daily warehouse operations and equipment maintenance. This includes:
- Performing inspections, cleaning, and preventative maintenance on warehouse packaging equipment
- Issuing safe work permits and completing isolation documents for packaging equipment within warehouse boundaries
- Supporting shipping and receiving activities including picking, packing, and verifying shipments
- Entering shipment data into SAP and reconciling discrepancies
- Reviewing and reporting on stocking levels, obsolete/restocked materials, and recommending adjustments
- Monitoring space utilization and alerting Foreman to capacity concerns
- Operating warehouse equipment: forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, etc.
- Conducting periodic physical inventories and verifying catalogue/inventory details
- Collaborating with Supply Chain, Operations, and Project teams to improve fulfillment rate
- Following TransCanada Operating Procedures (TOP) and adhering to safety standards
- Working with logistics teams and suppliers on routing, delivery, and pickup scheduling
- Ensuring compliance with inventory procedures and key performance indicators
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a warehouse or industrial setting
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills across teams
- Safety-conscious mindset and familiarity with safe work practices
- Willingness to learn, be trained, and perform manual labor in an industrial environment
- Ability to follow procedures and contribute to a high-performance team
- Must be located within reasonable commuting distance (preferred ZIPs: 43155, 43130, 43138)
Additional Information:
- This is a long-term contract role with potential for extension or future opportunities
- Initial interviews will consist of a phone or Teams call with the Foreman and Warehouse Manager, followed by an in-person interview with hiring leaders
- Candidates must pass mandatory drug & alcohol testing
