Role Description
● The Business Analyst will have a minimum of 5 years of experience working with analysis of
an organization or business domain (real or hypothetical) and documents, its business or
processes or systems, assessing the business model or its integration with technology.
Responsibilities:
● Represents process requirements in process design;
● Provides details and designs for the specific process.
● Supports GAP Analysis of required business process (at the lowest level of detail) to SAP
functionality;
● Execute unit testing for configuration and custom development (for knowledge transfer);
● Provide support security, data conversion, batch, and system response time testing;
● Provide initial post-implementation support tend users on the production system;
● Participate in solution scoping & planning and knowledge transfer sessions;
● Participate in workshops, ensuring all solution gaps are identified and addressed;
● Participate in Solution design activities;
● Provide integration requirements for 3rd party and external systems;
● Provide Master Data Inputs;
● Review data conversion approach for the objects in the scope of the functional area;
● Provide input the batch job schedule and parameters tbe used;
● Validate business process design Deliverables;
● Determine UAT test scripts.
● Provide input and support for the development of technical architecture
Deliverables;
● Participate in Solution testing during Integration and User Acceptance testing;
● Acquire solution knowledge for post-implementation support and ongoing maintenance;
● Review data definitions and the impact on all modules. Where required engage other leads
to resolve conflicts.
● Works with appropriate user communities understand data requirements and current
definitions;
● Solicits and ensures input from locations/sites;
● Ensures business requirements (at the lowest level of detail) will be met by the SAP System;
● Review and provide feedback change management team on communication efforts, change
plans, job role definitions, training materials;
SKILL REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
A clean criminal record check status will be required at the proponent’s expense prior to the
successful Service Provider Resource(s) arriving onsite or working remotely. Maintaining a
clean status is required throughout the Proponents contract. An enhanced background check,
completed by Manitoba may be required on certain projects due to the confidentiality of the
materials shared to the Proponent. If the proponent fails, they must rectify on their own cost and
time.
● The following are minimum qualifications and/or experience for the delivery of the Services.
● The Resource must have the following minimum qualifications or experience:
● Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Commerce or an equivalent field
● Minimum of seven (years of experience working as a business analyst
● Minimum of five (5) years of experience documenting/conducting process re- engineering
● Minimum of five (5) years of experience writing use cases
● Must possess high level of communications, consulting, and client relationship skills.
● The Analyst must be able to clearly communicate complex technical and business concepts,
both to clients (internal or external) and to team members, and to negotiate change
● Must be capable of effectively identifying and framing problems, leading the collection
● of elements of information, and integrating this information to produce timely and
● thoughtful decisions
● Prior experience with SAP (preferably focused on SAP Ariba, S4/HANA as it relates to
● Supply Chain Management, and FieldGlass)
● Knowledge in one or more of the following areas (in order of preference):
● Procurement (including category management, contracting, tendering requisition-to-pay,
ordering, invoicing, spend analytics)
● Warehousing and inventory management
● Other related experiences may also be considered
It is preferred that the Resource has the following qualifications or experience:
● Accreditation from Business Analyst professional association is considered an asset
● Knowledge of the Business Analysis Book of Knowledge (BABOK) is considered an asset
RESOURCES PROPOSED
1. Proponent must complete Appendix D – RESOURCE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE FORM
for each Resource that is being proposed by the Proponent. Supporting comments should
be provided to demonstrate how the Resource meets and/or exceeds the outlined
experience, education, and skills. Resource current location should be included in the
Response Matrix and whether they are ready to re-locate if out of Province or not.
2. Proponent’s proposed resource must have required skills, knowledge, and experience to
perform the duties and responsibilities of the role for which they are hired. Manitoba will not
provide training, reimburse cost or approve billable time for the training of such skills and
knowledge. The examples of such trainings include but are not limited to TOGAF,
Salesforce, Microsoft Power BI, Dynamics, .Net, Project Management Institute (PMI), and
International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).
3. Employee References - Provide a minimum of two (2) references for each Resource being
proposed. References should be for experience directly related to the area or expertise for
which the Resource is being proposed to provide the Services. References should be
include din the Response Matrix.
