Title: Program Manager

Overview

Must have experience leading large global programs with 4 or more project teams and proven ability to proactively engagement, foster collaboration and integrate workstream teams to progress toward program goals in lockstep. Comfortable stepping into project roles and helping complete activities on time. Seasoned mentor able to guide junior level team members with roles and responsibilities, deliverables, and expectations of them. Advocate of overcommunicating. Strong executive presence with the ability to read the room and adjust tone and language to mirror audiences. Confidence in making recommendations to leadership with the rationale to support it. Proactively creates project status reports, Jira reports/extracts, presentations explaining processes and concepts, with prompt turn around. 8-10 years of experiencing executing projects end to end using waterfall and agile methodologies and managing budget more than 5M.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

· Takes ownership and accountability for driving the program team and tasks forward while holding team members accountable

· Proactively defines program scope; develops and maintains project team roles and responsibilities, integrated program schedules, internal and external dependencies, issue and risk log

· Provides on-going program status reporting including alignment of projects toward schedule completion, consolidated issues and risks, program budget, inter-dependencies, license management,

· Responsible for onboarding new project team members, creating orientation materials and reviewing with new team members requesting proper system access and providing guidance eon program working norms

· Manages mapping of epics, capabilities, features, and user stories in Jira and creates program velocity reporting. Assists project managers with setting velocity, and creating burn up], burn down charts and velocity reports in Jira

· Addresses issues with team members and communicates feedback on individual team member’s progress to leaders

· Understands when project deliverables impact other teams and responds proactively

· Raises recommendations with leadership for final decisions

· Must have the ability to effectively collaborate and work with others in a remote work environment

· Must demonstrate the ability to be flexible with changing priorities and requirements

 

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

A minimum of 8 years of project management experience and/or continuous improvement experience

Prior work experience leading medium to large cross-functional and/or multi-year projects from concept to delivery.

Certified PMP and Scrum Master credentials; familiar with SAFe practices

Ability to guide and inspire others in consultative approach and drive collaboration and client focus with the project team and internal partners.

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written

Comfortable managing a variety of changing priorities (flexibility/adaptability)

Ability to demonstrate learning agility and critical thinking skills and apply basic concepts in new situations.

Ability to work and thrive independently and in a collaborative environment.

Ability to partner, collaborate and work in a team (and matrixed) environment.

Ability to demonstrate and apply critical thinking skills.

Adept at learning new functions/concepts quickly and successfully organize and drive effective projects while coming up to speed

Experience with continual canvasing upcoming risks and establishing mitigation/continuity plans before they occur.
