NCDOT - Technical Specialist - Junior - ECM Solution Designer
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is seeking a SharePoint Technical Specialist - Junior - ECM Solutions Designer for a 12-month contract engagement for the Engineering Application Services Department. 

**Selected candidate must be comfortable using their ownequipment to remote into a virtual workspace. A laptop will not be provided.**

**No computer programming/coding will be performed in thisposition.**

Description:

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) isseeking a SharePoint Technical Specialist - Junior - ECM Solutions Designer for a 12-month contract engagement forthe Engineering Application Services Department. Thisperson will be responsible for business analysis and solution design in supportof NCDOT’s Preconstruction business processes that are valuable to NCDOT’s TransportationLife Cycle.  This individual will defineand prioritize SharePoint and web based projects delivering content managementand business process support on behalf of these business units, translatedesign requirements into user stories, tracking projectstatus, managing communication and dependencies.  This individual will also perform Quality Assurance (QA) testing, coordinate testvalidation and implementation for these projects, ensuring customers areinformed and trained, sufficient help and training materials are created anddelivered, and that operational support is arranged.  This individual should have experience withstandard business analysis processes, quality assurance testing as well as experiencewith business process transformation. The individual must be knowledgeable and experienced with projectmanagement, product ownership and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).  This individual must have proven SharePoint experiencewith designing custom Microsoft SharePoint lists, libraries, and content types.

      Design SharePoint and web-based solutions tosupport Preconstruction business processes that are valuable to NCDOT’s TransportationLife Cycle.

·      Translate design requirements into clearly defined and manageable user stories forthe Development Team.

      Prioritize and track progress on work items anddeliverables.

      Ensure work items and deliverables arescheduled, completed, and delivered to the clients on time with high quality andexcellent, usable documentation.

      Document the program and project deliverables asassigned.

      Coordinate with clients to implement re-engineeredbusiness processes.

      Test SharePoint and web-based content managementdeliverables as required to support the re-engineered business processes. 

      Draft and deliver training materials for changedbusiness processes and IT applications.

      Consult with clients to prototype, refine, test,and debug applications and processes to meet business needs.

      Provide Quality Control for program and projectdeliverables.

      Mentor and provide guidance to team members.

Required Skills: (8+ years)

  • Designing SharePoint and web-based content solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in Quality Assurance testing
  • Working knowledge of AGILE software development methodology and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • SharePoint experience with designing custom Microsoft SharePoint lists, libraries, and content types
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
