Pay Rate: $23/hour on W2 (Without Benefits) or on 1099
Background Check Requirement: Must pass Kentucky and Federal Level 2 background check

Position Summary

The Administrative Specialist provides professional administrative support for the review, evaluation, and processing of disability claims. This role is critical to ensuring timely communication with claimants, medical providers, attorneys, and other stakeholders, as well as coordinating the collection of medical evidence to expedite the decision-making process.


Key Responsibilities

1. Claimant Communication & Appointment Coordination (30%)

  • Contact disability claimants to schedule or confirm Consultative Examination (CE) appointments.
  • Identify and address obstacles preventing attendance at scheduled exams, coordinating rescheduling when needed.
  • Support claimants in complying with examination requirements to expedite claim decisions.

2. Medical Records & Stakeholder Communication (30%)

  • Communicate with medical providers, attorneys, and school personnel to request and expedite medical records.
  • Follow up on pending information and generate correspondence to secure needed documentation.

3. Evidence Request Preparation & Monitoring (15%)

  • Prepare attachments and required documents for requesting evidence through the Social Security Administration.
  • Draft internal documentation to support the receipt of medical evidence.
  • Monitor and track kept and broken CE appointments.

4. Letter and Document Preparation (15%)

  • Draft, format, and prepare letters requesting medical evidence.
  • Generate and mail forms and correspondence to secure medical information.

5. Initial Claim Development (5%)

  • Electronically request medical records for newly received disability claims.

6. Additional Duties (5%)

  • Perform other related administrative and support functions as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with claimants, medical providers, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in preparing professional correspondence and documentation.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with medical record requests, disability claims processing, or administrative support in a similar setting is preferred.

Work Environment

  • Office-based role located in Anchorage, KY.
  • Requires handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
