NC DHHS Senior Business Analyst
The NC DHHS seeks a Senior Business Analyst to support the business process and requirements analysis andimplementation of a statewide IT project for North Carolina State Laboratory ofPublic Health (NC SLPH).

The NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)is seeking a senior Business Analyst to support the business process andrequirements analysis and implementation of a statewide IT project for NorthCarolina State Laboratory of Public Health (NC SLPH).

 

DESCRIPTIONOF WORK:

The NC SLPH is seeking to replace the current LaboratoryInformation Management System (LIMS) for their Newborn Screening program with anew Newborn Screening Program Laboratory and Follow-up Information Managementsystem and requires the services of a senior Business Analyst role to work withthe business and other stakeholders to support the business process analysis.

This senior Business Analyst role will work withmultiple internal and external stakeholders to capture requirements, businessprocess workflows and develop other BA artifacts using North Carolina Departmentof Information Technology Business Analysis Team tools and templates. The DHHS’preference is to use the agile methodology for the project.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

      Developa strong understanding of the functions, uses and requirements for the LabInformation Management System (LIMS)

      Identifyingand documenting current and future state process workflows

      Developingdocuments such as: Business objects inventory list Reports, email notificationsand Forms List, Email Notifications/Letters Inventory List, User Stories,Permission Matrix, Wireframes

      Additionaldevelopment of documents may include but is not limited to entity relationshipdiagrams, data dictionaries, system context diagrams

      Assistingin performing functional and integrated testing

      Preparingand maintaining project documentation and artifacts including analysis, reportsand user documentation

      Workingwith project manager, developers, and end-users to ensure LIMS designs meetbusiness requirements

      ProvidingUAT support, including developing test scenarios and cases using DHHSmethodology

      Supportingrequired system go-live activities

      Documentinggap analysis

      Trackdelivery and review/approval progress of each deliverable in accordance withapproved Project Work Plan and RACI

      AttendingPMO meetings

 

Employee willperform other related work as required

May require traveling in the local Raleigh area to attend meetings
