Role & Responsibilities
● Review and update the SQL code to work in the SQL 2022 environment.
● Convert embedded SQL queries in the VB6 application to stored procedures.
● Review the existing SQL 2000 stored procedures and adapt them to work with SQL 2022,
considering any deprecated features or syntax changes.
● Perform data migration from SQL 2000 to SQL 2022, ensuring no data loss and that the
integrity of data is maintained.
● Ensure that performance issues are addressed and optimize stored procedures for SQL
2022.
● Work on converting Crystal Reports to SQL stored procedures.
● Collaborate with the testing team to validate that the new SQL queries and stored
procedures function as expected.
● Handle database schema migration, including tables, views, and indexes.
● Assist in troubleshooting and optimizing SQL Server performance after migration.
● Review the existing Crystal Reports and analyze how data is being retrieved.
● Convert the Crystal Reports into SQL Procedures.
● Ensure that the data output is consistent and accurate after conversion.
