  • SAP PM – Plant Maintenance



 

Manitoba Hydro desires the remote services of four (4) experienced senior resources as listed below. They should provide support and assistance for ongoing fixes and enhancements of the modules listed below:  

 

4 Business Systems Analysts (BSA) to provide support and assistance for ongoing fixes and enhancements of the modules listed below

  • 1 SAP HRMS (with PY and TEM) BSA

  • 1 SAP PS BSA

  • 1 SAP CS BSA

  • 1 SAP PM BSA

 

The BSA’s responsibilities include:

  1. Solicit and assess business requirements 

  2. Conduct fit/gap analysis 

  3. Design solutions including data migration/conversion 

  4. Create Data migration/conversion scripts 

  5. Model AS-IS and TO-BE business processes 

  6. Create developer specifications 

  7. SAP configuration to meet the requirements 

  8. Develop and execute unit and integration tests to confirm functionality 

  9. Maintain all required documentation 

  10. Provide knowledge transfer and coaching to other Business Systems Analysts 

  11. Work in a team environment with Business Systems Analysts, System Developers, and business users

 

Experience and qualifications:

The proposed personnel should have the following experience and qualifications:

  • 10 to 12 years of experience in SAP implementation and SAP operation, hands-on support in the corresponding module/area of the resource listed above  

 

Mandatory Qualifications for SAP BSAs: 

  • working with clients to solicit and document business requirements; designing solutions; developing technical specifications for System Developers and liaising with them; completing system configuration; testing solutions; and rolling out changes to the user community.

  • Responsible for the development of comprehensive test plans and conducting system testing related to enhancements, problem resolution, system upgrades, and other IT projects.

  • Act as Project Leader for moderately complex, small in scope projects and/or participate in various IT software projects, upgrades, or initiatives.

  • Provide consulting advice and expertise to customer groups concerning system requests and provide recommendations that focus on meeting their business objectives. 

  • Provide system problem resolution and user assistance for the SAP functionality of the resources’ corresponding module/area, processes, and relevant interfaces.

  • Develop and execute queries and reports.

  • Research and keep current with new functionality.

  • May be required to direct or participate in the development and delivery of end-user training. 

  • Utilize various SAP departments' tools and standard processes, such as REMEDY, ServiceNow, Azure Boards, ACCESS databases, configuration and documentation standards, etc.

  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior staff.

Schedule Requirements: 

Timelines are tentative and subject to change. 

 

Manitoba Hydro will discuss necessary schedule updates collaboratively with the Contractor as required.

 

This engagement timeline will up to 18 months with the option to be extended, with resource start date as September 1, 2025.

 

Location and Hours of Work

Normal working hours are 8:00AM to 4:00PM CST Monday through Friday. The Contractor shall be available during Manitoba Hydro’s operating hours. Manitoba Hydro offices operate on a 9-day work cycle every two weeks, where almost every second Monday the offices are closed. On these dates, there will be limited or no access to the offices and Manitoba Hydro staff. Manitoba Hydro will provide this schedule to the successful proponent. 

 

Quality/Performance/Process Monitoring:

  1. Break/Fix and Help Calls Support with SLAs

  • Provide 8x5 (business hours) support for break/fix issues.

  • Adhere to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for issue resolution such as (vendor to propose alternative or additional SLA’s):

    • Critical Issues: Response within 1 hour, resolution within 4 hours.

    • High Priority Issues: Response within 2 hours, resolution within 8 hours.

    • Medium Priority Issues: Response within 4 hours, resolution within 24 hours.

    • Low Priority Issues: Response within 8 hours, resolution within 48 hours.

 
  1. Application Development Services through changes to SAP ECC application, including mandatory maintenance and functionality enhancements with the following tasks:

  • Work with clients to elucidate and document business requirements and design solutions

  • Develop and enhance the existing SAP modules, interfaces and system integration with other applications, develop technical specifications for System Developers and liaising with them

  • Leverage and execute system configuration

  • Development of comprehensive test plans and conducting system testing

  • Test solutions in development environment, ensure proper UAT (user acceptance test) is executed in quality assurance environment 

  • Roll out changes to production environment and the user community

 
  1. Implement on time and on budget the following SAP initiatives/projects

  • Fall Support Packs (annual) Sept – Nov

  • Payroll Calendar Year End (annual) (for the FICO resource)

  • External IT audit (annual)

  • SAP Disaster Recovery Exercise (annual)
