Overview
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Product Manager to lead the planning, development, and delivery of high-impact products. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering and prioritizing product requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the timely delivery of features and enhancements that meet organizational goals. This role requires a deep understanding of product management methodologies, strong leadership skills, and a passion for leveraging technology to revolutionize public service delivery. Additionally, the Senior Product Manager will mentor a junior Product Manager, providing guidance and fostering their development within the team.
Key deliverables will include:
Product Roadmap Development: Create and maintain a strategic product roadmap, detailing feature releases, enhancements, and long-term product vision.
Feature Prioritization: Prioritize features based on their impact, value, and feasibility, balancing short-term needs with the long-term product strategy.
Project Management: Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage timelines, and ensure alignment with project goals and organizational objectives.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks to ensure successful product delivery and alignment with organizational standards.
Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate regular updates and feedback sessions with stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment throughout the product lifecycle.
Mentorship and Team Development: Mentor and collaborate with junior Product Managers, providing guidance on best practices and helping them grow in their roles. Foster a collaborative environment to ensure team development and knowledge sharing.

Complete work and achieve milestones within the assigned deadlines.
Notify the Cluster/Ministry Project Manager in writing of any issues or material concerns related to the Assignment Deliverables, as soon as they become aware of them.
Submit Deliverables for the Cluster/Ministry approval as they are completed.
Comply with the Ontario Government and Cluster/

Adhere to the Ontario Government Conflict of Interest and Confidentiality Guidelines.
Provide knowledge transfer and skill development to designated Cluster/Ministry staff as part of the project delivery process.
Follow the Ontario Government I&IT Directive, Operational Policy on the I&IT Project Gateway Process, and other applicable Guidelines, Standards, and Procedures.
1. Project Management Experience: 50%
Demonstrated experience in successfully managing complex, multi-phase projects in a regulated or public sector environment.
Proven ability to meet project timelines, deliverables, and budgets, especially on multi-year, multi-million-dollar projects.
Skilled in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could impact project timelines, budget, or deliverables.
Proven track record in managing project scope and controlling scope creep effectively.
Familiarity with Ontario Public Sector project management standards, including PMO Stage Gate process, ITIL process, and compliance documentation.
Knowledge of structured methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
2. Technical Skills & Tool Proficiency: 20%
Proficiency in using project management software (Jira, Trello, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project) for tracking and managing project progress.
Experience with collaboration tools such as Miro, Microsoft Teams, and Confluence for seamless cross-functional team coordination.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud platform and knowledge of cloud-based deployment.
Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and product development methodologies as they pertain to project management.
Experience creating and managing essential project documentation, such as project roadmaps, business cases, and impact assessments.
Ability to produce clear, comprehensive reports and status updates for stakeholders and senior executives.
3. Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: 20%
Strong communication skills for reporting, presentations, and stakeholder engagement, particularly at the executive level.
Proven ability to clearly and effectively present project updates, risks, and results in a concise and user-friendly manner.
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Skilled in facilitating meetings, gathering feedback, and ensuring alignment among diverse project teams.
4. Leadership & Soft Skills: 10%
Experience in mentoring and guiding team members, promoting a collaborative team environment.
Proven capability to foster teamwork, knowledge sharing, and mutual support within the project team.
Strong analytical skills to address project challenges with effective, actionable solutions.
Ability to adapt to changing project demands and resources while maintaining focus on key deliverables.
