Summary:
Join our team as a Senior Application Programmer to develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using C#, ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, and HTML. This role involves designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting software while ensuring high performance and scalability. Responsibilities include quality assurance, Agile/Scrum participation, knowledge transfer, and technical mentorship. Candidates must have at least five years of experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework, plus two years in Agile environments. Preferred skills include VueJS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and DevOps practices. This position supports government IT projects, with a contract rate of $85/hr and a need for four resumes.
The scope of the proposed services will include the following:
● Web development with C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and HTML
● Designs, codes, compiles, tests, debugs and documents new and existing web applications, maintenance and support of existing applications.
● Performing quality assurance reviews and testing on new code.
● Participates in all necessary team meetings and design sessions in accordance with Scrum ceremonies.
● Provide technical knowledge transfer, training, documentation, mentorship and guidance to State personnel for all requested work.
● Monitor, review and audit performance of the customer-agency’s replacement software and make performance improvements.
Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory:
● Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas:
o C#
o ASP.NET Core
o Entity Framework
● Two (2) plus years of experience working in an Agile / Scrum environment
● Experience working with DPS projects
Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory:
● Two (2) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas:
o Recent experience developing applications in MVC architecture using .Net Core 2.x
o or 3.x
o VueJS
o Bootstrap
o Javascript
o SQL Server (T-SQL)
o SSIS/SSRS
o Distributed Design Systems (SOA/Microservices)
o DevOps Practices (CI/CD)
● Experience with State of Louisiana Enterprise Architecture (EA) or other State offered services such as Identity and Access Management (IAM), Electronic Document. Management System (EDMS), Pelican Design System, OTS Print Shop services, State Outlook integration, My.La.Gov, etc.
● Experience developing, maintaining and/or supporting financial systems.
● Experience working with one or more other resources included in the vendor’s TORFR Team response.
● Experience working on IT projects with the Louisiana Department of Public Safety.
● Experience supporting and maintaining systems for federal, state or local government entities.
