Data Ops Research

The Data Scientist performs statistical and econometric analysis, AI/ML modeling, and numerical optimization. The Data Scientist solves use cases related to personalization, customer engagement, marketing promotions, merchandise planning, supply chain, pricing, and cost. This position will lead data science needs across all client Group brands, divisions, and selling channels.  In this position, you’ll help understand the causal relationship between potential interactions a customer may take and measure correlations to help inform and optimize marketing strategies.

 

Job Duties
- Collaborates with cross-organization to ideate and prioritize use cases, business problems, and user stories that can enhance customer experience and increase client ROI.
- Leads data science projects independently while collaborating with team members and multi-organizational stakeholders.
- Develop optimization models to create a promotion strategy that will maximize or minimize key business KPIs
- Leverages state-of-the-art data science tools, methodologies, and algorithms to drive improved decisions
- Collaborates in developing and implementing predictive models, segmentation strategies, optimization algorithms, statistical analysis, and data mining analyses, aiming to increase revenue.

- Establishes well-thought-out plans and manages execution of plans, anticipating and adjusting for risks and roadblocks

- Make recommendations on strategic actions based on findings with segmented cohorts of customers, with a forecast of anticipated impact should recommendations be followed.

- Collaborates with key stakeholders to identify key inputs and constraints and incorporates them into formulating the objective function.

 

 

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Quantitative (e.g., math, statistics, computer science, engineering, etc.)

- 6+ years of industry experience in a data science role

- Expert in programming in Python and SQL

- Experience in price or promotion optimization

- 2+ years of experience in operations research applications in industry

- Experience deploying models in a cloud production environment

- Experience in using Keras, Tensorflow, and scikit-learn

- Experience with advanced statistical analysis

- Experience conducting causal analysis for a large B2C company
