Job Description: Senior Azure Architect

We seek a highly experienced Senior Azure Architect to join our cloud infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have extensive Azure administration and infrastructure management knowledge and a proven track record of maintaining high-performance cloud environments.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Design, architect, and implement secure, scalable, and resilient Azure cloud infrastructure solutions to meet business and technical requirements;

• Lead the deployment and optimization of cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, networking, storage, databases, and other Azure services, ensuring best practices for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency;

• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform for automating the provisioning and management of Azure resources;

• Stay up-to-date on the latest Azure services and technologies and provide recommendations for adoption based on business needs and evolving industry trends;

• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on Azure infrastructure, advising leadership and stakeholders on technical decisions and strategic initiatives;

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate generative AI solutions into existing workflow systems;

• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical architectures and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• 12+ years of work experience in IT, with a strong focus on cloud technologies

• Extensive experience with Azure Administration and Infrastructure Management

• Deep understanding of Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, and security

• Proven ability to handle and mitigate downtimes, particularly those related to security tools like CrowdStrike

• Strong skills in performance monitoring, reporting, and establishing baseline metrics

• Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM templates)

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Requirements:

• Extended experience in cloud infrastructure architecture, specifically with Azure (Azure certifications are preferred);

• Expertise in designing and implementing Azure infrastructure solutions, including compute (VMs, containers), storage, networking, and database services;

• Deep understanding of Azure networking concepts such as virtual networks (VNETs), subnets, load balancing, DNS, etc.;

• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform for automated infrastructure deployment and management;

• Experience with identity management solutions, including Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and hybrid identity;

• Solid understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions in Azure, including Azure Site Recovery and Backup;

• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights for maintaining operational visibility;

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions effectively;

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders;

• Proven ability to lead cloud migration projects, design scalable cloud architectures, and optimize infrastructure for performance and cost;

• Familiarity with CI/CD solutions in the context of MLOps and LLMOps, including automation with IaC (preferred);

• Experience deploying ML models using Azure DevOps, Databricks, and third-party MLOps platforms (preferred).
