Role Description
Dynamics 365/Power Platform Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying custom applications and integrations using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform tools, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
Responsibilities:
- Solution Design & Development: Design, develop, and deploy custom applications and integrations using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform tools.
- Customization & Configuration: Customize Dynamics 365 modules (Sales, Service, Marketing, etc.) and build Power Apps/Power Automate workflows to address business requirements.
- Integration: Integrate Microsoft Dynamics 365 with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, third-party applications) using web services, APIs, and connectors.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Leverage Power BI to create detailed dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that drive data-driven decision-making.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work with business analysts, project managers, and other team members together requirements, ensure proper implementation, and meet project milestones.
- Quality Assurance & Testing: Ensure the quality and performance of all applications by performing testing, troubleshooting, and debugging.
- Coding and Testing: Write, test, and deploy code to ensure applications meet quality standards of GOM
- Best Practices & Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation, following best practices for version control, release management, and deployment. Data Management: Oversee data migration, data integration, and data quality assurance processes.
- Project Management: participate in project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time.
- Mentorship/Training: Mentor fellow developers on dynamics related issues and provide technical support to the team tensure effective use of Dynamics 365.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
A clean criminal record check status will be required at the proponent’s expense prior to the successful Service Provider Resource(s) arriving onsite or working remotely. Maintaining a clean status is required throughout the Proponents contract. An enhanced background check, completed by Manitoba may be required on certain projects due the confidentiality of the materials shared with the Proponent. If the proponent fails, they must rectify on their own cost and time.
The following are minimum qualifications and/or experience for the delivery of the Services.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
- Proven experience in developing and customizing Dynamics 365 modules.
- Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) and data modeling.
- Experience in integrating Microsoft Dynamics with third-party applications via APIs, web services, and connectors.
- Hands-on experience with model-driven apps, canvas apps, and custom connectors in Power Apps.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Dynamics 365 customization and configuration (plugins, workflows, forms, views, business rules).
- Proficiency in Power Automate for building workflows and automating business processes.
- Strong experience in Power BI for creating data visualizations, reports, and dashboards.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps for version control, CI/CD, and release management.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, C#, and other web development technologies.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment delivering high-quality results.
RESOURCES PROPOSED
- Proponent must complete Appendix D – RESOURCE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE FORM for each Resource that is being proposed by the Proponent. Supporting comments should be provided to demonstrate how the Resource meets and/or exceeds the outlined experience, education, and skills. Resource current location should be included in the Response Matrix and whether they are ready to re-locate if out of Province or not.
- The proponent's proposed resource must have required skills, knowledge, and experience to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role for which they are hired. Manitoba will not provide training, reimburse cost or approve billable time for the training of such skills and knowledge. The examples of such training include but are not limited to TOGAF, Salesforce, Microsoft Power BI, Dynamics, .Net, Project Management Institute (PMI), and International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).
- Employee References - Provide a minimum of two (2) references for each Resource being proposed. References should be for experience directly related to the area or expertise for which the Resource is being proposed to provide the Services. References should be included in the Response Matrix.
