GA DHS - Copywriter/Technical Writer
The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS), Department of Family and Children Services, is seeking a qualified candidate for the temporary contractor staffing position of Technical Writer to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia.

Technical Writer
Under general supervision, the Technical Writer will edit and review documents for system applications and related communications.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Edit and review agency system applications for grammar and style.

Core Competencies:

·       Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills

·       Keen eye for detail, grammar, and style

·       Experience writing in and adhering to AP Style

·       Excellent writing portfolio demonstrating the ability to use brand voice appropriately across various mediums

·       Ability to work independently and as a team

·       Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite

·       Strong organizational skills

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in journalism, English, communications, or related discipline from an accredited college or university AND three years of experience in technical writing or editing.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in writing for government entities.
