Summary:

Join our team as a Materials Technician supporting Colorado Springs Utilities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. In this full-time, temporary role, you’ll handle shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse organization while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy. Your day-to-day will involve inspecting shipments, performing cycle counts, processing stock paperwork, and ensuring adequate material supply. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, dependable, and experienced in material handling with basic computer skills. This is a great short-term opportunity (2–6 months) for someone with a positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills, working Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Ships and receives parts, tools and materials

• Performs inventory cycle counts

• Processes paperwork for receiving/issuing stock items

• Maintains adequate supply levels of parts and materials

• Performs inspections on shipments received

• Organizes and reorganizes warehouse layouts

• Complies with all safety and health programs in support of an incident and injury-free workplace
