Scrum Master - Junior

Description

  • Serve as a senior team member as part of the Agile team and support efforts to implement, adopt and sustain Agile processes, principles, and practices;
  • Serve the scrum team by leading and coaching team self-organization, cross-functionality and aligning to the mandate of delivering value;
  • Remove team impediments that prevent or hinder team capability and cohesion;
  • Facilitate discussion, decision-making and conflict resolution;
  • Advocate for the scrum team across the organization and actively question practices and approaches that are not in-line with scrum theory;
  • Partner with the Project Manager & Product Owner, working closely with them to effectively create, maintain and groom the product backlog;
  • Create communication forums for the product owner, scrum team and associated stakeholders to ensure the vision, goals and product delivery commitments are visible and well understood;
  • Help employees, consultants , vendors and other stakeholders understand and enact scrum as well as empirical and emergent product development, welcoming change that enhances the productivity of the team;
  • Work with other business/technical areas to facilitate increasing organization maturity and effectiveness in the application of Scrum across the organization.

 

Responsibilities 30%:

  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on specific project
  • Prepares training materials, training sessions on project delivery methodology in accordance with guidelines.
  • Acquires, customizes, documents, integrates, communicates and implements comprehensive IT standards and guidelines.

 

Technical Skills 30% / Experience 30%:

  • Azure DevOps (must have)
  • Experience managing multiple scrum teams in parallel
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile Information and Information Technology (I&IT) methods and techniques associated with the development and implementation of enterprise architecture frameworks
  • Communication, facilitation, negotiation, consensus building, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated commitment and proven ability to do effective stakeholder management
  • Knowledgeable and experience in Agile methodology and ability to educate others
  • Experience facilitating the relationships between the Agile team and product owner and maintaining a safe working environment for the team by helping with conflict resolution
  • Experience leading the Agile methodology and development teams in self-organization and identifying and filling in blanks in the framework
  • Experience mentoring and coaching the teams on removing impediments
  • Experience capturing feedback and documenting sprint reviews to administer project goals and improve team performance

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Project Methodology certifications such as Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Lean Six Sigma Black/Green/Yellow Belt, etc.

 

Communication Skills 10%

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written to prepare documentation, reports, note keeping, status updates and assessments
  • Ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively and in a user-friendly manner
  • Maintain a high level of customer service to both internal and external clients
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner

 

Must Haves:

  • 3-5 Years of Scrum Master experience
  • Azure DevOps
  • Experience managing multiple scrum teams in parallel
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile Information and Information Technology (I&IT) methods and techniques associated with the development and implementation of enterprise architecture frameworks

 

Nice-To-Haves:
