NCDIT Transportation is seeking to fill a short-term (approx. 12 month) contractor assignment. The selected candidate will fill the role of .NET/C# Mid-Level Developer on the DMV Traffic Records Systems (TRS) team for the NCCRIS Project. TRS supports the DMV Crash Data Management and DOH Traffic Safety in collecting, analysis, and distribution of motor vehicle accident information. The chosen candidate will be part of the development effort to convert the TRS applications from Java to.NET.
The contractor will work with Business Owners in the translation of customer requests into technical request and user stories, coordinates software release schedules with the Business and Technical Team, develops business requirements, and provides testing and training support. This individual must have proven experience with enterprise level software development programs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Math, or Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience developing new web-based applications using .NET/C/ASP .Net Core, relational databases (such as SQLServer, Oracle), web services (SOAP and REST), user interfaces (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript), and GIT/Azure DevOps for a minimum of 3 years.
• Demonstrated ability in application analysis and design, cost analysis, estimating staffing needs, testing, documentation, and implementation for a minimum of 3 years.
Demonstrate these Preferred Skills:
• Experience with ASP.Net MVC
• Experience with object-relationalmapper such as Dapper, Entity Framework
• Experience with testing frameworks such as nUnit, MSTest
• Demonstrate effective communications in oral and written form.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
