Job Overview
As a Platform engineer, you will be collaborating with many cross functional teams including business partners to ensure high quality software product in timely delivery by adapting industry standards and procedures for infrastructure team.
In this position, you will –
- Support, design, develop and maintain WordPress sites and plugins.
- Write or reuse database queries.
- Administer SAS products like Atlassian, Monday.com and etc.
- Develop pages with Python, Go, JavaScript, CSS and HTML
- Automate using Power automate or similar tools.
- Write Bash, powershell or similar scripts for schedule, task, automation and optimization.
- Manage various infrastructure platforms of SAS, servers, storage, file servers and databases.
- Monitor and optimize platform performance.
- Collaborate with security, network, engineers, DBAs, cloud and SAS vendors.
- Triage, support, prioritize issues with excellent problem-solving skills in cloud, on prem and SAS platform.
- Own and manage wpengine, hosting and WordPress.
- Write / modify / develop api for external or internal applications.
- Willing to support and own PaaS and IaaS along with Azure cloud platforms.
- Understand / willing to learn IaC fundamentals and basic knowledge in Terraform or similar.
- Monitor and troubleshoot using collected logs or monitoring tools.
- Fundamental knowledge on networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS and HTTP/HTTPS
- Proficiency / understanding of Linux and UNIX administration / Azure SFTP
- Ability to depict system or network architecture for supporting applications.
- Build and grow knowledgebase and articles for supporting teams.
- Adherent to agile process and be part of agile ceremonies and process
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of IT experience with Bachelors degree
- Experience as platform engineer or in a similar role
- Experience in workflow rules
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail is a must.
